You may know about squeeze pages.
It’s a good strategy for affiliate marketing.
You build a simple website that makes an offer to the website visitors, and all that they need to do is give your their name and email address.
Well, a reverse squeeze page is similar. The goal is to get website visitors to give you their name and email address. However, in my opinion a reverse squeeze page is so much more powerful because it solves a problem that most email marketers face.
The problem that most affiliate marketers face, even if they get people to opt-in to their mailing list with the squeeze page, is building relationship.
Most affiliate marketers fail to establish a good, long-lasting relationship with their subscribers.
Think about the traditional squeeze page.
You make an offer, it could be an ebook, an MP3… and then you hope for the guy to opt-in to you. And you just pray that he would confirm their email address. And later, you just hope that this guy would read your first email. And then you hope again that he will read your next email, and on, and on.
The thing is, the guy don’t even know you.
From your little squeeze page, you make an offer with big claims, but with little proof.
But let us take a look at this from a different view.
Introducing the REVERSE SQUEEZE PAGE
What if you prove yourself first, build relationship upfront, and get your visitors to be excited about you. If you get them excited enough, they’d be glad to subscribe to you, even if you don’t offer anything else when they do.
Think about it like this — what ever it is you offer initially, put it upfront without your visitors having to opt-in to you.
I know, it doesn’t make sense.
But people of the Internet are wiser and wising up to all the many ways of Internet marketing. You need to work a little harder and prove yourself first before they are willing to listen to you.
And in my experience, the more I share for free, the more people are willing to spend on me.
Here is what you do…
Create a website where you giveaway a really good tip or trick in your niche. But you need to spread it in three or four pages. On the first page, start by introducing yourself and telling them what they are going to learn in the next few pages.
And at the bottom of the page, you will have a text link, “Next Page”.
When they click on it, they arrive on the next part of your “free tip”.
And when they arrive on the last page, you tell them about your subscriber. You could also tell them about another gift you might have. That is up to you.
Of course, in your autoresponder sequence you start to promote your affiliate marketing products just like how you would normally.
Here is the point to remember. In traditional list building, you build the list first. When they subscribed, then you start working on relationship. But they might not even remember you when they started receiving your emails.
But here is where reverse squeeze page is more powerful. You build relationship upfront and make a “REALLY” good impression. When you do that, they will always remember you and will be looking forward to your emails.
When you do this, you can expect better conversions, bigger affiliate checks and a long-lasting affiliate marketing business.
